Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the dynamics of egg production plants in Russia and Rostov Region. The author assesses the extent of the transformation of the poultry industry in the region, and compares trends in the industry in the major agricultural regions of the South of Russia. The study suggests that in the new economic conditions regional poultry can not be developed further by the extensive growth of the industry.
